Dan Moran has helped thousands of people get engaged by offering his best advice on diamonds and engagement rings with his YouTube videos, how-to guide and Reddit posts. His engagement ring guide and videos have been downloaded and watched thousands of times.
Now, he’s making a podcast and in case you haven’t guessed…it’s called “Big Stones”.
Dan is determined to change the way people shop for an engagement ring and the only way to do this is via education.
“It’s essential that the client knows what they’re buying and why they’re buying it,” Moran explains. “When we work with clients, they give us a budget and we work within it to create the custom ring of their dreams by balancing their budget against the 4 C’s.”
In case anyone was at loss as to what the 4 C’s are, they are:
All of these C’s add up to the 5th C: cost.
“You can have the ring of your dreams,” says Dan. “You just need to work with a professional to help you create it and not buy something off the rack and in inventory.”
Dan advises that his clients create custom rings and start with the center stone and build their way out.
“By working with a private jeweler, not only are you saving money by not paying retail prices like you would in a jewelry store,” he says, “but you’re also not buying something that’s been cheaply manufactured overseas. You’re getting a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted ring. Whether it’s a solitaire or more complicated design, always work with a private jeweler to ensure you get exactly what you want and that your budget is not stretched.”
The inaugural episode of Big Stones starts with the basics and covers the 4 C’s.
Dan will be podcasting weekly and encourages anyone to write in with questions which he will answer on the air.
